I want to know what the hell is up with this violating of the Non-proliferation treaty! Why can't the nations just stop building nuclear weapons all together? The treaty has so far been in mildly well effect, but it's still not preventing non-nuclear states from becoming nuclear. So far It has been violated and withdrawn from by Iran and North Korea respectively. I believe a nuclear arms race has already begun, under the veil of non-proliferation. While states are attempting to coincide with the NPT, in secret they are all in fear of each other. To make matters worse, the Obama administration has revealed the U.S's stockpile of 5,113 nuclear warheads, sure to provoke Russia into growing their arsenal as well. The nations seem to think that whoever has the most Nuclear weapons is safe from the others, when in truth the countries most likely have no wish to use their nuclear weapons. However, in fear of another country becoming irrational and running rampant they grow their arsenals anyway. Now, countries that aren't even supposed to be nuclear are looking for nuclear power (nuclear power plants) which is sure to lead to their construction of nuclear weapons.
